About
I’m Manojna Yeluri: an entertainment and intellectual property rights lawyer, artist rights legal educator, researcher and cultural rights advisor with over a decade of experience working alongside independent artists, musicians, designers, choreographers, studios, cultural workers, and creative organizations.
I've always been creatively curious, and grew up with a deep love for music, singing, writing and the performing arts. This love stayed with me through my time at the NALSAR University of Law in Hyderabad, where I earned my BA.LLB (Hons) degree – and led me to specialise in Entertainment, Media and Intellectual Property Rights Law at the UCLA School of Law in Los Angeles, where I completed my Masters (LLM).
It was during studying for my Masters degree, when I first realized the stark information gaps in artist rights, copyright and music business education in India. A couple years later, I started Artistik License (AL) as a free wordpress blog in 2013 with a simple mission: to make legal jargon easily accessible for artists – and over time, it has grown into a boutique artist-first consultancy that blends law, care, creativity, and critical thought.
AL is more than a consultancy; it's a labour of love and a realization of a dream to empower artists and creative practitioners, alongside transforming the creative and cultural ecosystem in India and beyond, one contract and conversation at a time.
Speaking: Podcasts, Conferences, Panels, Workshops, Trainings, Classrooms, Collaborations and more
Talking about the creative ecosystem is one of the things that brings me absolute joy. I love being in spaces where ideas flow, where people are curious, and where real conversations about art, culture, the creative economy, justice and community come alive. If you're building something and feel I could add value, I’d love to hear from you: connections@artistiklicense.com
